CPAC EDUCATION DAY 2011
Event Overview
CPAC Education Day is an annual event providing information on the Canadian education system to families of newcomers . Through years of experience working with new immigrants and their families, CPAC has identified a very important problem: these families have little to no information on the Canadian education system, and do not know where to find this information.
The Education Foundation of C hinese Professionals Association of Canada (C PAC ) took the initiative , co-host ed by HSBC and CPAC in 2008 , to provide a bridge to assist the newcomers. The objective of Education Day is to provide information on the Canadian education system and other available programs to new immigrants . The knowledge gained from this event will help these parents and students prosper in their new home.
In 2010, we had over 1,700 participants, one keynote speech, 8 breakout sessions and 22 universit y and college exhibitors , a number which exceed our expectation (800 participants). This success set up a significant milestone and a firmed footprint for itself, and also gained a big name in the community.
About the Education Foundation of CPAC
